I always thought Anthony Robbins wasn’t my cup of tea but I have changed my mind. This 20 minute clip just resonated with me today.

MauiJim

About a year ago I decided to buy a pair of Maui Jim’s and everyone thought I was crazy for spending 250 Dollars on them.  I might have even thought I was crazy myself.  Well they turned out to be the best sunglasses I’ve ever owned.  The Polarization cut reflection like a knife and the frames held up to some serious abuse.

Well like all good things they must come to an end, or do they?  I noticed that there were some stress cracks on the lenses around the bridge of the nose.  Needless to say I was extremely disappointed.   With a little bit of research online I found out that I could send them in and have them repaired for 60 bucks.  All I had to do is send about 9 bucks for shipping and then they would contact me about the additional 60.

To make a long story short I sent them in with a 9 dollar check and I received an email tell me that I will receive my sunglasses in the mail in 3 to 5 days.  NO CHARGE.  They fixed the ear pieces, lenses and sent me a new hard case.

Maui Jim you have my business for life and I will most definitely share my story with anyone looking to buy some new shades.  You guys Rock.компютри втора употреба

Put it on the Back Burner

I always liked this illustration. Once I had to create a program that need to have a place to put stuff on hold. So, I thought it would be funny to put stuff on the Back Burner. Use it as you may. This one’s on me.

Stop Watch EPS

TICK, TICK, TICK.  I created this super clean EPS file and thought someone could put it to good use.  I’ve used this in past projects and now I give it to you, the world.

Import it into Flash and spin the hands.  Make it really work.  It might be fun to see it actually work.  Just an idea I’m throwing it out there.

Download Free Vector EPS Propaganda Poster Element

Awhile back I wanted to make some propaganda posters like the ones produced during the First World War.  They are so graphically out of this world.   Here is a vector file of an old bomb like they used to drop out of the B1 bombers.   It should make a great element for your own propaganda poster.

Kaleidoscopes and Optical IllusionsKaleidoscopes and Optical Illusions

This is just one of many optical illusions that can make your brain hurt. I don’t remember where I originally say this design but for some reason I had to recreate it. If you watch the Howard Stern On Demand channel you’ll see his intro uses a similar layout with some cool other graphics incorporated. Download this Free EPS file and tweak it out which every why you want.

Here is a pretty cool web tool that will allow you to manipulate photos on location when you might not have access to powerful tools like Photoshop.  Also, you can give it access to your flickr account and it will sync up with all your sets.

Picnik offers a more advanced tool for about 25 bucks a year but I just can’t seem to justify paying that.  Considering I have access to Photoshop the king of photo manipulation.

resizor

Resizor is basically a way to fit photos into whatever size image you may need.  Like extending images for banners or fitting images into nonstandard devices like cell phones.  This product is really interesting to see in action but seeing photos squash and stretch send chills down my spine.  In the wrong hand this could be really bad.  I already see too many people not able to grasp the concept of proportionately scaling images.

The inventor is extremely talented and I thought I heard that he was hired on at Adobe.  So, I’m sure we’ll be seeing something very similar in the new Photoshop very soon.

Resizor’s Website

Here is another Resizor type site that my twitter friend Tom Chapin says is way better.  Thanks Tom.
